The Komos Añejo Cristalino tequila undergoes aging for at least one year in French oak barrels previously used for white wine. It is then filtered through activated charcoal to purify it, resulting in a crystal-clear tequila with perfect smoothness.
Like all of Komos' productions, this tequila is crafted in Mexico from 100% Blue Weber agaves, hand-harvested from various terroirs in the Tequila Valley in Jalisco, using traditional artisanal methods. The piñas are roasted in traditional stone ovens, and the aguamiel is naturally fermented before being double-distilled in copper stills. After aging in selected barrels, the tequila undergoes a final touch of gentle aeration, a winemaking technique that delicately oxygenates the liquid to soften and round its texture, bringing additional complexity and smoothness to the palate.
The iconic bottle, handcrafted by artisans, is designed with sustainability in mind and can be recycled. Its deep blue ceramic evokes the splendor of the Mediterranean while faithfully preserving the subtle aromas and flavors that characterize this exceptional tequila.
