Mars offers the Cosmo whisky, inspired by an iconic mountain near their Komagatake distillery. This blended malt is characterized by remarkable oxidation and an extroverted nature, harmoniously combining maturity and youth, reflecting exceptional expertise in the art of blending.
On the nose, the whisky presents itself with finesse and liveliness, revealing captivating aromas of cherry liqueur and Williams pear that add an elegant touch. It later softens, unveiling notes of malt with almost vanilla hints, fully asserting its unique personality.
On the palate, the whisky is refined and precise, showcasing a radiant youth that emphasizes the crystalline purity of its distillate. Elegant and well-structured, it then reveals aromas of red and black fruits such as raspberry, blueberry, and blackberry. Its texture is compact, almost rocky (slate, schist), and progressively gains dynamism, with notes of freshly cut grass, peppermint, and orange blossom.
The finish is long and tense, with an explosion of fruity flavors: mirabelle plums, greengages, melon, candied oranges, and fresh figs. Wildflowers on a mossy base add a refreshing vitality. The aftertaste and empty glass reveal hints of mint and cocoa.
