The 2022 vintage of this Pouilly-Fuissé was characterized by particularly hot and dry weather conditions. From February, temperatures were above normal, causing brief concern during a late frost in April, which fortunately had no impact on the vines. The summer of 2022 ranks among the hottest since 1947, occupying the second place.
Despite a generously rainy June, the year was overall lacking in rainfall, which helped to save the vines from deterioration. Although the flowering promised an abundant harvest, the summer drought limited juice yields.
Wines from this vintage are distinguished by their intense fruitiness, low acidity, and creamy texture. It is a vintage that is both enticing and indulgent, with promising cuvées for excellent aging potential.
