The softness of the black and red berry aromas, such as blackcurrant, cherry, and raspberry, is enhanced by a 2018 vintage renowned for its aromatic richness. The perfectly ripe tannins elevate the wine, adding a delightful indulgence without compromising its finesse.
The Estate:
Year after year, Château Tour de Marbuzet continues to be closely followed, as its wines consistently impress, rivaling the best of its appellation. They offer an intense and complex expression—raspberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, spices, toasted notes—while retaining the vibrant depth typical of Saint-Estèphe's great wines. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are equally balanced, complemented by a touch of Cabernet Franc.
Partly situated on the renowned Marbuzet plateau, the estate has slightly expanded to 8.5 hectares, while maintaining a limited production. Owned by Henri Duboscq since 1981, who also oversees the nearby Château Haut-Marbuzet, well known among wine enthusiasts, Château Tour de Marbuzet's wines echo those of their prestigious cousin, sharing the same terroir and expertise (perfect ripeness at harvest, extended maceration, and careful aging).
