Moët Hennessy brand Volcan de mi Tierra has expanded its range of Tequilas with the launch of a new product.
The Blanco Tahona Tequila, which is “inspired by the silky white smoke that blankets a volcano post-eruption”, aims to be a crisp, herbal and “subtly sweet” spirit.
Produced in its own distillery, Volcan de mi Tierra’s new Tequila includes no additives and 100% Blue Agave, in order to achieve all-natural flavours. The liquid is then aged in French and America oak casks, and includes tasting notes of cooked agave, dulce de leche, almond and light smokiness.
Heritage
Marcelino Lucke, who is master of Tequila at Volcan de mi Tierra, said that the agave was crushed using a two-tonne volcanic stone wheel, which was “true to the ancient way of making Tequila.”
Santiago Cortina Gallardo, co-founder and CEO of Volcan de mi Tierra said the brand aimed to “build an authentic vision of a modern Mexico” which would be “reimagining its rich ancestry, vibrant diversity, and unparalleled beauty”.
He said: “Blanco Tahona is the perfect addition to our award-winning prestige Tequila portfolio, taking consumers to discover a unique Blanco profile that showcases the natural aromas and sweetness of cooked agave, something only our craftmanship can do.
