Dom Pérignon unveils its special edition of the Vintage 2015, created in collaboration with the estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat. This special edition is available in three bottles and boxes of different colors.
The year 2015 was marked by climatic contrasts: a mild winter followed by a cold spring, then a prolonged heatwave from mid-May to mid-August with exceptional sunshine and periods of drought. The rains at the end of August allowed for optimal ripening, producing generous and balanced berries.
This champagne pairs perfectly with a variety of refined dishes, including delicate fish, seafood, poultry, and fine cheeses. An Iconic Delicate and Complex Champagne.
Nose: The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2015 initially presents notes of roasting and cocoa. Gradually, it reveals a floral bouquet composed of linden, jasmine, and peony, accompanied by a spicy dimension. A vegetal and fruity freshness then emerges, with aromas of chlorophyll, orange peel, and green papaya.
Palate: On the palate, the champagne begins delicately and then becomes generous. The flavors of fresh peach and nectarine envelop notes of citrus and gentian, extending with exceptional length.
The House of Dom Pérignon
Named after the monk Pierre Pérignon, cellar master at the Abbey of Hautvillers in 1668, Dom Pérignon champagne embodies a rich heritage and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence. This visionary monk is associated with the discovery of the champagne method, a crucial turning point in the history of champagne. The commitment to quality and innovation continues today under the direction of Vincent Chaperon, Chef de Caves since 2019. The house's philosophy, centered on the expression of vintages, aims to create the "best wine in the world," a goal pursued since the time of Dom Pierre Pérignon.
The Art of Blending
This exceptional champagne results from a secret blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
