Plus d’Infos

Small stories make the big ones. Sébastien Valiela is the world’s greatest and most daring paparazzo. With him, we sneak into the private lives of celebrities: Johnny Hallyday, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Sharon Stone, Cindy Crawford, Caroline of Monaco, Harrison Ford, Victoria Beckham, Vanessa Paradis, Claudia Schiffer, Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, Britney Spears, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Marion Cotillard, Jean Dujardin, and more.

All the French and American stars have been photographed by Sébastien. He is also a terror for Presidents of the Republic. In September 1994, he revealed the existence of Mazarine, leaving a famous Parisian restaurant on the arm of her father, François Mitterrand.

Ten years later, he captured François Hollande, helmet on his head, going to meet Julie Gayet on Rue du Cirque. He also spent two years closely following the Macron couple, this time officially, documenting their private lives. He is also credited with the only images of the RAID assault during the tragic Hyper Cacher hostage crisis.

A fascinating collection filled with outrageous and humorous stories, offering insights into our times and the "society of the spectacle" predicted by Guy Debord.

About the Author

Sébastien Valiela, born on March 18, 1971, is a photojournalist nicknamed the "king of paparazzi." His photos have been featured worldwide, gracing over 600 magazine covers.

"Photography is much more than a mere profession; it’s a deep passion, an unshakable calling. Behind every paparazzo lies a photographer—a mix of hunter and adventurer. I was drawn to this passion from a young age, at 8 years old, when I received my first camera."

Since then, photography has been a faithful companion. To photograph is to forever capture a moment that even the sharpest memory cannot hold. It is to share with the world the scenes we were privileged to witness. It is also about extraordinary encounters, whether it’s rubbing shoulders with celebrities who inspire the public, witnessing exceptional events, being backstage at a presidential election one day, or hiding in a Thai jungle the next. Always in the heart of the action, living a thousand lives in one.
