Discover Marrakech Like Never Before with Our Comprehensive Guide to the Best Things to See and Do in This Enchanting City.

Perfect for travelers eager to experience the essence of Marrakech, this guide offers an immersive and authentic journey.

From Adriana Karembeu’s palace hidden in the Palmeraie to Prince Fabrizio Ruspoli’s retreat nestled in the Atlas Mountains, and the princely riads tucked away in the labyrinthine alleys of the medina, the Red City never ceases to surprise and reinvent itself.

Indulge in Moroccan gourmet cuisine by chef Moha Fedal or the dadas at Sahbi Sahbi, enjoy a sunrise hot air balloon ride, or celebrate under the stars in the Agafay desert. New festive gurus like Don Diego are also making waves in this magical city.

This book introduces the latest must-see personalities and locations that shape the Ochre City. Among these gems is the Palais Rhoul, an iconic establishment restored to its splendor by Alexis Rhoul, the son of visionary Sylvia Rhoul. This "guest palace" defies architectural norms by blending Art Deco, Baroque, Oriental, Greco-Roman, and flamboyant styles—a challenging feat executed to perfection.

Here, as in many other places in Marrakech, magic and escape are always in the air.

About the Author

Among the contributors is Gilles Lhote, a photographer, globe-trotter, and former journalist for Paris Match. A seasoned professional, he served on the editorial board of VSD and later headed the photo department at Télé 7 Jours.

A rock specialist and author of numerous albums and biographies of stars, Lhote co-wrote Destroy (Michel Lafon) with Johnny Hallyday and published several major works about the "idol of the youth," with whom he was close.

Gilles Lhote is also a lover of Morocco and Marrakech, a city he knows inside out, having lived there for several years. "In Marrakech, adventure hides around every corner, and that’s rock 'n' roll."
